Amanda is excited to be back at the ranch for another summer! Amanda grew up in the Charleroi area and has been coming to Shekinah since she was 8 years old, when she first started as a camper. As a teen, Amanda moved on to be a ranch hand, cabin leader and barn manager, and is now excited to be back teaching riding lessons in the arena for another summer!
Most of Amanda's horse sense comes from hours in the arena with Pastor Tom and many other John Lyons trainers that have come through the camp. Amanda's heart burns for kids to know Jesus through recreation, like horseback riding! She has most recently spent her time traveling and doing missions work in Hawaii and Nepal, and served as a riding instructor at a girls camp in North Carolina a few summers back. Amanda will be starting school for Occupational Therapy, with the goal of using horses to heal and help others.
Amanda believes she has the best job in the whole world, as she loves watching kids come out of their shells and grow in confidence when they are around horses!
